


4th Gawad Agong names new set of awardees

Six media practitioners and two alternative media institutions were awarded in this year's Gawad Agong para sa Pamamahayag at the Campus Maintenance Office grounds Friday night.
The awarding coincided with the weeklong Kampuhan sa Diliman of national minority groups.

Police van tramples protesters in US embassy dispersal

Protesters and police clashed after dispersals turned violent in front of the United States of America (US) embassy in Pasay City, leaving at least 50 injured earlier today.
The Philippine National Police (PNP) used tear gas and water cannons to drive away Indigenous peoples, Moros and activists . A police vehicle then rammed the protesters, running over at least three from the ranks of the militants.

Mindanao contingent arrives, signals start of Kampuhan 2016

Scattered showers did not hinder hundreds of students, professors and advocates who gathered at the University of the Philippines (UP) Diliman from welcoming around 2,000 delegates from Mindanao Thursday night for Kampuhan 2016.
Kampuhan sa Diliman is an integration activity where national minorities camp out within UP Diliman for two weeks as part of Lakbayan 2016, a protest caravan which aims to bring into light of the struggles minority groups face.
